It is just half an hour from Seville Airport (30) and is an ideal touring centre for the region. The city of Seville is considered one of the most beautiful in Spain, if not Europe. Based around the Guadalquivir River, the city has grand old buildings, tall Royal Palms, and hundreds of pavement cafés that give a very continental ambience. It's largest enough to keep you interested for a few days, but small enough to be able walk through most of it on foot. An open top bus tour (audio commentary in various languages) is the best way to get acquainted with the city and costs 15.The venue for our Togathering is Hotel Alquería , a new 4 Star Superior category 50 Bedroom property with beautiful, modern and well appointed rooms that are very spacious. The beds are huge and very comfortable. There is a beautiful bathroom with unusual shower, bidet and toilet. The room décor is brown and mustard colours with Mahogany furniture with modern photography as paintings and brown mustardy colours. The hotel has a gym, spa and large swimming pool. The Satsang Hall is light and airy and very private. FISU is taking over the whole hotel for this Togathering. The menu service will be very "Andalusian", giving everyone a taste of local delicacies and cooking styles. The timetable for the menu will follow an international timetable with Breakfast at 08.30, lunch at 13.00, and dinner at 19.00.Burgillos is just half an hour from the centre of Seville. There's a local bus services that takes around 45 minutes and costs under 2 Euros each way. Taxis take 30 minutes and cost around 30-35 each way. Car Hire is reasonably priced in Spain and can be found for between 30-40 per day. (You do not need an international driving license if you possess a European driving license). The coast of the Costa Da Luz with such beautiful cities as Cádiz is less than 90 minutes away, and the famous and historical cities of Córboda and Granada are within a 2 hour drive from Seville. So, the Hotel could be your touring base for the area if you wish to stay on a few days and get to know Seville and the surrounding area.Special Rates for those wanting to extend their stay at the hotel are available and will be published when all the prices are confirmed.Flights:From the UK & Ireland:Ryanair flies once or twice daily from London Stansted, Liverpool or Dublin Airports, but it might be necessary to fly the night before the Togathering and stay in the Hotel, as the evening flight leaves around 17.00 and arrives in Seville at 21.00.From Greece & Cyprus:It is a more complex journey to Seville from Athens or Larnaca. There is a direct flight with Iberia from Athens to Madrid and this does connect with another Iberia flight to Seville. Therefore, from Larnaca via Athens would also be possible on this route.Alternatively, we recommend taking the cheapest possible ticket to Madrid and taking the high speed train to Seville. The train takes just 2.30 hours from Madrid, Atocha Station to Seville, San Justa Station. A return from Madrid to Seville is around 150 (Discounts for Students). From Finland & Denmark: There are good connections from Copenhagen and Helsinki via Madrid to Seville with Finnair, SAS that connect to Iberia. A cheaper alternative would be to take a charter flight to Malaga, Jerez or Gibraltar and drive from there with a hire car. From Australia, USA & Canada:International connecting flights are possible via Madrid on Iberia.
