Meditation is an easy way to overcome depression. Depression or Chronic Unhappiness can happen to anyone at any time of their lives. It can be triggered by a variety of different circumstances and health issues. However, there is substantial medical evidence that shows that meditation is an effective way of overcoming depression.

Depression is associated with low self esteem, a lack of self confidence, the inability to neutralise negative thoughts and emotions. Meditation allows us to be more positive, optimistic, stronger and more prepared for some of the challenges life present us.

If you are taking meditation for depression, Meditation does not replace drugs prescribed by your GP but meditation and medication can work hand in hand. As you experience improvements, then you may be able to decrease your medication but only under the strict guidance of your GP.
