We are delighted to announce that as 2016 arrives, FISU will expand into the UK’s largest second city, Birmingham. This opportunity arose thanks to FISU Teacher, Andreas Louca’s relocation there.

Birmingham is the center of both East and West Midlands areas, which has a combined population of 10.3 million residents, albeit the city itself has a population of just over 1 million residents.

Once famous as a ‘City of a Thousand Trades’, Birmingham was a world leader in the production of pens, buckles, buttons, jewellery and guns.

The ideas of The Lunar Society, a group of genius industrialists, philosophers and intellectuals not only changed Birmingham’s history, but the history of the world through their ideas and aspirations contributed to the industrial evolution.
