Praise cannot inflate you and blame does not deflate you
If something you do as a service to another is done as an offering, then the resulting praise or blame will not affect you at all because you find the inner joy of serving.
It could be praise or blame, yet you remain unaffected. You become like the lotus flower growing amidst all the mud, and yet untouched – forever remaining pure because your very offering is joy and joy is the essence of purity.
